As many of you know, we are expecting a new Stein-Blumberg to arrive in January 2011. We are very excited and we decided to not have a formal walk and fun day this year. That being said, there are many projects that we have started and wish to continue supporting. Our 3 priorities are 1. Family Centered Care, 2. Patient Safety, 3. Palliative Care. We are excited in March 2011 to be helping Sick Kids with their first Family Education Day for the Division of Gastroenterology, Hepatology and Nutrition. Chronic liver disease is rare and there are few opportunities for families to meet and share their experiences and learn together. It will be an amazing event and we wish we had a similar opportunity when Sasha was alive.
